Ridgewood Rehabilitation & Care Center joyfully welcomes residents and team members to their new households
Having breakfast in the old and lunch in the new, residents moved into their new home a month ago on September 9, 2014. Stella , our longest residing resident, and Joe Caldwell, our Administrator, were the first to cross the threshold of our new home. As we look back, it was amazing at how smooth and organized the day progressed. Jolene Zochol spent months organizing the resident moves and lining up volunteer help for the big day. Each department head worked on moving and setting up their individual departments before the move day. With help of many volunteers including Concordia students, resident family members, team members and their family members, and Home Office, all residents and their belongings were moved before lunch and before the rain started! Forty-plus beds and forty-plus recliners were moved within an hour and half thanks to the Concordia Wrestling and Basketball teams and their coaches. It was definitely a Team Effort.
Our new home is finished! The newly remodeled building has finally been completed. Our residents moved in on September 9, 2014. As we sit in awe of the beauty of the building, we must realize that it is the people inside that make it even more beautiful and special. I keep reminding our residents that they deserve to live in a beautiful home such as this place. Thank you, Jack and Eldora and all of the Vetter Senior Living team members for giving us the opportunity to work and live in our new HOME!
