Korean War Veteran Honored!
Les Hald was honored on May 14, 2014 for his service in the Air Force during the Korean War. Les’ three children were present to help their father celebrate this occasion, which ended up being a sing-a-long and reminiscing time. Les has a passion for music and while in the Air Force he wanted to sing in the Air Force Band. The problem was that you had to play an instrument in order to be in the band, so Les learned to play the drums and soon became the Air Force Band soloist. His children said that music was always in their house and recalled many memories of Les playing his Ukulele and singing on camping trips.
